Supervision

If you're visiting this website looking for the right therapist for yourself, you might be wondering what "supervision" is. Here's a quick explanation. All counsellors and psychotherapists are required to have their own supervisor to review their work with clients, their professional development, and sometimes their personal development as well. Supervision is a professional service, rather than a managerial role, and the supervisor acts as a consultant rather than a boss.

I really enjoy working as a supervisor for other counsellors. Although my own practice is underpinned by the person-centred approach I work with supervisees from different approaches too. I have a Certificate in Individual Supervision for Counsellors and Psychotherapists from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and offer supervision to both qualified counsellors and counsellors in training.

In my supervision practice I provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment for both experienced counsellors and counsellors in training. I enable them to reflect on and discuss their work and their personal and professional responses to their work, and develop their knowledge and expertise.

My rates start at £40 per hour.  I work using Zoom, Skype and VSee as well as face to face in Uddingston.

If you're looking for a supervisor please get in touch by phone, text or e-mail and we can take it from there.
